Chapter Three

"Where am I? It's so dark." I look around to see if I can find anything familiar. There was nothing but darkness. I start looking around frantically, looking for a spec of light, at the very least. "Mother! Father! Is there anyone there?" Suddenly, I see something glowing at the far distance. I immediately start running towards it. Once I get there, I wish I had just stayed in the dark.

I see blood. Blood, everywhere. There's a fire, and something else, something in the back, but it's too dark to see what it is. I step forward, my bare feet feeling the sticky wetness of blood on the floor. I reach out with my hand to turn over the dark mounds on the floor. 'No! I don't want to see this! Stop! Stop!!' I was yelling this in my mind, over and over again, but it was like my body had a mind of it's own.

I grabbed one of the mounds to turn it over. But I didn't need to. Just one touch and it fell back to reveal itself to me. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mother!!! Father!!!" They were bleeding everywhere. Their limbs were torn off. My mother was crying blood. And my father's heart was ripped out.

I suddenly awoke sitting straight up in my bed. My breath ragged and my clothes soaked in sweat. I was holding my face in my hands, trying to calm down. There was a horrifying sound in the background, but I couldn't pin it down to what it was.

Suddenly I am shaken from my stupor, literately, and I look up to see Sebastian. "Young Master, are you all right?" He asks me, with a tinge of concern in his voice.

"Wh-What?" I asked, uncertainty in my voice. "What happened? What's going on?" I started to hyperventilate.

"Master, calm down. You were screaming nonstop while awake in bed. Did you have a bad dream of some kind?"

"A bad dream? Yes, a bad dream, that's what it was. Now get off me so that I may get ready for school." He had his hand on my shoulder, probably from when I was screaming, and I slapped it off and got up to get dressed.

"I apologize, Master. In the height of things, I nearly forgot to tell you. Today is Saturday, Master. You've been asleep for 3 days."

"3 days?! Why the Hell was I asleep for 3 whole days?!" I demanded.

"I believe it is because of the contract we made the other day." Sebastian informed me. "Also, here," He handed me a black eye patch.

"Why are you handing that to me?" I inquired.

All Sebastian did was hand me a mirror. "That is why, Master."

I stared into the mirror for what felt like forever, then I said, "Sebastian."

"Hm?"

"What the hell is this." I demanded, keeping my voice as cold as Antarctica.

"Ah, that is the proof of our contract. The closer one's contract is to their eye, the stronger it is. See, even I have one." He slid his glove off his right hand and showed me the exact copy of the symbol that was on my eye. Except that his wasn't purple and glowing. Whatever.

"I see." I replied, and took the eye patch from him.

By the time I had finally gotten that stupid eye patch on, it was already 10 am. "We must go." I said.

Sebastian looked at me and asked, "Where, Young Master?"

"Back to my house. I go there every weekend. If I don't I'm sure that I wouldn't have a house to go back to."

Sebastian looked at me questioningly and asked, "Why do you say that?"

I smirked and replied, "You'll see. Now, go get me a car." I stared at him and asked, "You can drive, yes?"

He smirked and looked at me like I was some foolish idiot and replied, "Of course, Master. After all, I am the Phantomhive butler. If I cannot do something so simple as drive a car, or any type of transportation vehicle, I do not deserve to be the Phantomhive butler."

I turn away from him and replied, "Good, now go get one and pick me up at the school entrance."

Sebastian bowed and said, "Yes, my Lord," and left.
